Tonight's THEME: Joan McGee of the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association speaks about Open Space Ballot Question

At our October 22nd BoroGreen meeting in the Hillsborough Municipal Building from 7:30 to 9 PM, we are pleased to welcome Joan McGee who has been working for the Stony Brook Millstone Watershed Association for the past 6 years as a Municipal Policy Specialist protecting clean water and a healthy environment. Joan has been an active community-centered resident of East Amwell Township in the Sourland Mountains for the last 30 years. She is a graduate of Smith College, Rutgers Law School and Rutgers Graduate School of Business Administration. She left a career in bankruptcy law to work for our region’s welfare in order for residents to have access to clean water.

As the Municipal Policy Specialist for our watershed association, she clearly articulated the traffic and flooding concerns with regard to the Green Village development on Route 206 at previous Hillsborough Planning Board meetings. She has a strong passion and understanding for the need to protect Open Space in our region and how that affects the quality of life of our residents. Her talk will focus on Question #2 on this November’s ballot which relates to funding for Open Space land purchases. Please bring a friend so that more people can better understand the details of the New Jersey Open Space Funding Amendment SCR 84.

The meeting dates through November: 11/26. All future meetings will be held in the Front Multi-Purpose Room at 7:30-9:00 PM.
